Musical Promenade in Vavla

Musical Promenade in Vavla

For the third consecutive year, the community of Vavla invites you to its “Musical Promenade”: Saturday, May 17th 2025, from 17:00 to midnight.

Upon arrival, visitors will receive a map guiding them to intimate musical performances in the stone-paved streets, picturesque squares and traditional courtyards of the village.

The festival will host a wealth of musical styles, blending soul, funk and contemporary songwriting with the sounds of West Africa and India and the traditions of Cyprus, Greece, Asia Minor, and Constantinople.

Participating artists: Alexis Sunder, Androula, Byzantine Choir ‘Kosmas o Melodos’, Hayat Sebep & Cemre Arca, Gaba Project, Τo Kalesma, Kazandibi, Mande Drummers, Pelva Naik (India), Leftokarya (Greece).

Alongside the music, the village’s former school building will host an art exhibition of works by local resident painters Pascalis Anastasi, Carolina Souss, and Konstantinos Kyrtis.

A variety of food and drink will be sold throughout the day, and there will be a small market with local products.

Admission is free
